Rating the market cafe slightly higher than the 3-star rating I gave the actual Weggie's. P.S. don't come here on a Sunday... crazy busy. Stopped into the cafe for their sub shop (in addition to grabbing a few things from the supermarket side). I arrived around 11am and was surprised how packed the cafe was already... well, maybe I shouldn't have been surprised bc the store was SLAMMED. The sub shop was tucked around a corner and I didn't even see it. I walked around for a bit before having to ask a worker, who pointed me in the right direction. The sub line had 3 people in front of me and we patiently waited. There were maybe 6 or 7 workers behind the counter but only 1, yes ONE, was making subs. When it was our turn, the girl was friendly and made our sandwiches accurately. We had 5 subs and I was in a bit of a hurry... it took her way longer to make them than I would have liked but they were good nonetheless. One sub never listed cheese and she actually put some on the side "just in case" that person wanted some but forgot to write it down. That was nice of her. One sub was accidentally put in a "combo" bag instead of just a sub bag. This caused a bit of a headache at the self checkout. The girl up there had to void it and then I had to go to the customer service desk to have them ring up a plain sub. Slightly annoying but mistakes happen. Since moving to Houston, we sure do miss our favorite WEGMAN'S SUBS. I was so glad I was able to get one during this trip to NY. Highly recommend the assorted with Turkey, ham and roast beef! Yum! Writing this after returning to TX and man! I wish I had another one!

I was so ready to talk stuff because whoever made my pizza forgot to cut it. However it spelled delicious so we just carved out a piece with a fork. I'm not a liver of Wegmans traditional pizza. Cheese I mean. I don't eat pork so many meat options are off limits for me. I do loooooovvve a good cheese pizza though. Not extra cheese just a god moderate amount of cheese and sauce and and a great crust. Back to not really liking Wegmans cheese pizza. it's okay but not something I'd buy again without modifying the cheese to sauce ratio. There's seriously not enough sauce. Anyway yesterday just for the heck of it I decided to get a pizza. I wanted the mushroom truffle pizza but it was $10. I only wanted to spend $10 and this pizza was a specialty pizza and it was $18. Nope negative is what I said. I need up getting a mushroom and cheese pizza with double cheese, a parmesan cream sauce as the base and olive oil on top. This pizza was phenomenal! OMG I would have severly upset had it just been a slice. We ate the pizza and my daughter said we should only order that pizza from now on. The mushrooms were incredibly delicious. The crust, yummmmmm. The crust was great the cheese, I was impressed by the cheese. It was great. I loved it and will definitely order it again.

My high school girlfriend introduced me to this gym back in 1999 and I was blown away at the size and the quality of their subs at that time the only had cold cut Subs however now they have meatball chicken finger exedra. Today I went and decided on the chicken tender sub buffalo style and I must say it was very delicious and somewhat healthy considering the tenders are baked and not fried. The sub rolls are always fresh the service is always okay the best thing is this place is open till 10 p.m. which surprised me I had a call just to verify if that was correct. Which it was the prices have gone up over the years in the size of the submarines has gotten marginally smaller but it still a great place for a quick quality bite

On busy Sundays sometimes it takes what feels like an entire day to do your shopping. And the worst thing (at least for me) is shopping on an empty stomach - it makes me want EVERYTHING I lay my eyes on. Enter, Wegmans Cafe! They've got it all from make it while you wait dubs and wraps, pizza, salad bar, Chinese food bar, sushi, hand held hot bar is chicken wings etc. to bags of chips and got fresh cookies. Favorite: The subs are to die for. So fresh tasting as simple wonderful. They come in three sizes: small, medium, large- priced $4.50, $6.50, $10, accordingly. I get the medium usually and it's like a full size sub. The large is HUGE and it cut into four pieces. I usually go for the chicken tenders as my meat, but they have a huge variety. They also offer a cheese option for vegetarians, and have tons of veggies to load it up with. Also it sounds weird, but the in house made tortilla chips are the best!!

I love Wegmans!! They have everything I want and need and oh so much more. I never post the food I get from Wegmans so I made sure I snapped a photo today!!

By far, the best grocery store in Western New York. It pretty much stays busy all day long, so beware. I appreciate their organic selection - it's obvious that they truly care about quality. They also work very hard to have local products in the store (like Bootleg Boucha and Go Veggies). Wegmans also has a fantastic bakery - I'm a huge fan of their brownies and donuts. The prepared food section is great, too - I often find myself in the Asian section. Some people complain about the prices, which I can understand. Although I love this store, I do shop at Price Rite for my mangos, lemons and avocados. Overall, you can't go wrong with Wegmans.

Stopped here on a road trip for a healthy lunch. It was easy to find and the parking lot was your typical busy wegmans style. The salad bar area was shifting from breakfast to lunch. I was able to assemble a healthy salad with some of the best grilled chicken I have had in awhile. You pay by the pound so it's always a challenge to pick items that don't weigh a lot but add to my fullness. Overall good quality food, friendly people and good value for what I wanted.

I'm of the mind that this should NOT be it's own listing. It's still part of the main Wegmans. You can buy groceries here and bring food from here into the rest of the store. I get that they serve alcohol...and that's maybe the only compelling argument. In any case, as much as I don't think it's necessary, here's a separate review. Compared with the cafe at the Alberta Drive location, this one falls sadly short in spite of being able to serve alcohol at this one. The layout is not nearly as nice, for starters. There are only a few tables in the coffee area and the tables in the cafe area feel very compact and crowded. The bench along the wall has plugs at each table, so that's nice. None of the other tables except the one in the front by the trash can have outlets. The biggest disappointment here, really, is the buffet. I eat at the Alberta one on a semi-daily basis and this one doesn't hold a candle for a couple reasons. First, I've been in at 11:30 with most of the buffet empty. On Alberta by 10:30 you've got most stuff out already. You just can't rely on being able to get something in your time frame at this location. Second, the quality of the food doesn't seem to be as high - by which I mean, once it's out, nobody seems to pay attention to it. At Alberta they've got people stirring the food to keep it from drying out but certain dishes here seem consistently dry. For example, the stir-fried broccoli and mushrooms - dry as a bone way too often. Now, I will be the first to admit that I'm being stupidly picky. But Wegmans has standards and parts of this cafe don't seem as well put together. While the sushi rolls are great, I've gotten sashimi that was so riddled with bones I almost didn't even want to eat it. I would be remiss though, if I didn't say what an awesome job the sub shop and cafe cashiers do. As picky as I've been, I still think this is a fantastic place to eat and hang out.

Great variety- fruits to diapers to prepared foods. Ambiance- great use of space and I love the Less than 7 Items line. Price- Pricier than TOPs or local supermarkets. Quality- Good. Has organic products too. Ethnic variety- not the best but they try. They have lots of Asian instant noodles and most common Asian cooking sauces. I would recommend this place to people who want great customer service and access to decently great food. Keeping it brutally real, Charismatic Cherie

So one might ask why this deserves its own heading in Yelp. A few reasons: It has its own in 4Sqr, and ... if that's not reason enough, here are more: Its a restaurant inside the grocery store; It has its own entrance door, parking area etc; People actually use it as a "destination lunch" spot - as in "I'll meet you at Wegmans" Once inside the doors, you can come from either side, you can choose from pizza (pie or slice), subs, sandwiches (and they do a mean Bills Gameday Business here), made to order pasta stand, made to order burrito area, sushi bar, of course a salad bar, an Indian buffet and more. There really is something sure to please everyone. Then, once you have chosen from the large assortment of options, you can sit, inside or out, tables or booths, even a few high tables here and there, and enjoy. You will find yourself siting among young and old, working, studying and retired, and most anything else. This stores location lends itself to cater to students and retirees alike, and a large population of immigrants. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and while they are not the "lowest cost" around, they do have a huge set of options, so everyone in your party will be happy, and that's worth something. From the hardcore vegan to the current carnivore, they are sure to have something to please, and surely keeping the troops happy is worth the extra few cents it may cost to eat here. Keep in mind, this is where the local cops and firemen eat as well, on occasion you get to actually see them "bolt" out for a call. They do get "special parking" but since the parking lot is redone, that's better than it was, although still counter intuitive from a safety view. In fact, its not really that safe, so when you see the fire truck there, be careful, they may be about to race to a fire. All in all this is a place that pleases everyone, has ample parking, is a reasonable cost and you can grocery shop when lunch is over.
